Hiab Germany has once again demonstrated the successful combination of continuous customer relationship management and strategically placed own Hiab workshops.

KNETTENBRECH+GURDULIC, which is one of Germany’s leading waste and recycling companies, signed an order for 39 MULTILIFT hooklifts and skiploaders and installations. In total, the order volume is worth around EUR 1.5 million.

All units will be installed on Mercedes-Benz Trucks at Hiab Germany’s own workshop in Karlsruhe, starting in January 2022. Karlsruhe is the first Hiab service and installation workshop location in one of Germany’s metropolitan areas. Its close proximity to the world’s largest truck factory, operated by Mercedes-Benz Trucks, has contributed to the customer’s choice of location. Today, Hiab Germany has workshops in Karlsruhe, Munich, Augsburg, Cologne and Hamburg.

“We are grateful for the trust KNETTENBRECH+GURDULIC has put in our equipment. Waste and recycling is tough on machinery, but our reliable MULTILIFT hooklifts and skiploaders can withstand the toughest conditions and working environments for several years.

The deal is exemplary for the implementation of the route-to-market strategy in the German market. Thanks to our workshop in the metropolitan area of Karlsruhe, it is possible to manage large-scale orders in-house and to strengthen the customer relationship. At the same time, we are able to understand our end customers' needs better, which allows us to grow with them,” says Ron de Vries, Director, Sales & Services, Hiab Germany.
